When we sat down to write a mission statement, we knew that we would be creating something different. Our shop aims to attack the problem of cyclical homelessness in the most practical and realistic way we could think of – by providing job opportunities, one-on-one mentorship, and individualized training.
We have been in the screen printing and graphic design business since 2012, and we have worked with Denver’s homeless and at-risk youth for over eleven years.
Sox Place Screen Printing was created with the mission to provide homeless and at-risk youth with the means they need to exit life on the streets. We equip them with the tools they need to become self-sufficient and marketable in the real-world job market.
We have a vision to make a very real dent in the number of homeless youth that currently call the streets of Denver their home. We hope to one day be able to fully fund our youth drop-in center, while also creating more sustainable jobs for Denver’s homeless youth.
Sox Place, a drop-in center for street youth, has been a prevalent piece of downtown Denver since 2002. It’s a beautifully transparent space that carries a deep message through the selfless father-son team, Doyle and Jordan Robinson. Sox Place assists street youth, no matter their background or struggle through, “physical, spiritual, emotional, and social provision.”View Result
